The four people Mel, Terri (Teresa,) Nick, and Laura are sitting in Mel’s apartment, drinking gin and debating what is the true meaning of love. Mel starts with the question “what is love,” but yet he has a specific way to define love; he thinks "real love [is] nothing less than spiritual love" where physical aspects are not the factors to create romances within his love.” To be more specific, when love conquers one’s heart; it does not do anything, but creating a “passion flame” where it would temporary blinds that particular person’s heart.
