Dissertations SIUC Research Papers, Theses and Dissertations Processing Graduate papers are received from the Graduate school three times a year (Spring, Summer, Fall). The Graduate School will call when papers are ready to be picked up. Dissertations and theses are received in boxes labeled with the author's name and type of paper. Research papers arrive in folders labeled "Research paper" and the author's name. When papers arrive, sort by paper type and shelve in preparation for cataloging. Processing research papers (Note: Only one copy of each research paper is received from the Graduate School. It will be shelved in Archives as non-circulating.) The Graduate school checks all papers for completeness and page collation. All research paper packets should contain one copy of the research paper, including and in this order: research paper approval title page abstract (optional) table of contents research paper text author's vita (optional) After collation is confirmed: Fan through the pages to ensure none are upside-down or backwards.
