The long and white snake was stretched out along the inside of the cage. It had a small head and was not very large in diameter. The red tongue was not too long but very thin. Before the mouse fetus was put in the cage, the snake was moving and slithering around slowly close to the ground. The snake was sticking its tongue in and out of its mouth very fast and often. Then, the mouse was placed in the cage at the other end of where the snakes head was. At first, the snake didn't act any differently, as if it didn't know the mouse was in the cage yet. Then, the snake slowly changed direction and went towards the mouse on the other side of the cage. By now, the snake sensed something was in the cage. It slithered along to about halfway of the cage and then paused looking towards the mouse with its head lifted slightly...
