In an election, people require certain consideration before voting in favour of one candidate. Many different factors can be taken as the standard of measurement, all of which would generate different result for the election. In the election for "the greatest economist of our time", we must standardize the measurement of "great" before making the decision to vote for the greatest economist. By looking at the dictionary, the term "greatest" means markedly better than others in quality. Therefore, we should consider the quality of the greatest economist before making our decision. In my opinion, the greatest economist must satisfy the following criteria.
One cannot be the greatest economist unless he had significant contribution in the field of economics. Therefore, the first criterion to be the greatest economist is a person who played an important role and had great influences on the development of economics. He should have new findings in his research work as well as substantial theories, which are able to explain the economic phenomenon and predict the human behavior.
