The Book of Jonah
The book of Jonah is about the adventure of a prophet named Jonah who, unlike other prophets, tried to disobey the Lords command. God told him to go to the city of Nineveh, Capital of the Assyrian Empire, one of the Israelites greatest enemies and deliver a message. But Jonah didn't want to go there with god's message of doom because he was convinced that God wouldn't carry out his threat to destroy Nineveh. Jonah boarded a ship going to Spain, where he hoped to escape from the lord, but on the way god sent a huge storm and Jonah got thrown over the side of the boat by the crew. At gods command a giant fish ate him and Jonah spent three days and three nights inside it. After praying and repenting his sins God lets him out of the fish. Jonah finally obeyed the lord and went to Nineveh to deliver his message.
