How are our political opinions formed? Who manipulates these opinions? It is no secret that just about every household in America owns a television set, and intends on using it. If a citizen refuses to watch television, the Daily News is there waiting on the corner. It is no secret that Americans have a media fixation, as politics and entertainment are mixed as if they were one. It follows that whoever is able to control the material that is put out, will have a relatively easy time controlling the public opinion of the country. Since it is segments of the United States government that control output of information, children as well as adults develop biases as soon as they are born.
To anybody who is well-read and/or politically aware, this does not come as a surprise. However it is my belief that when speaking of the masses of our society, it is safe to say that many are ignorant of the way that they are essentially being programmed by the elite media conglomerates and the government.
