The Culture of "Dumb" Blondes
I chose the culture of the "dumb" blondes because I, myself, have had experiences concerning the criticsm that goes along with this stereotype almost my whole life. People stereotype this culture in many ways; however, I have found that most of the stereotypes are very untrue. One stereotype about blondes is that they just do not have any commonsense. For example, when people tell me a joke they always look at me and ask, "You did not get it did you," when actually I did. I am not saying that all blondes have commonsense because I personally know some that do not, but I also know just as many people that are the same way but do not have blonde hair. People also perceive blondes as being just flat out dumb. I do not think that this is true at all. I have been a natural blonde my whole life, and I graduated valedictorian of my senior class. This is a prime example that your measure of intelligence is not based on your hair color. I did not let this stereotype bring me down, it just made me want to try harder...
