Poetry can be written in many different ways; and it can be interpreted in thousands of ways. Every person brings a different outlook to what a poet is trying to convey. Poems can be used by the reader, or author, to develop thoughts and express emotions about decisions in ones life. Every poet makes it a priority to develop a certain aspect of his or her poem so it can become part of the reader's life. Poetry is the way a poet describes his or her personal event, or feeling, that has happened in their lifetime; and the connection they can make with the audience.
Every event in life begins with a decision making process. In Robert Frost's, The Road Not Taken, he describes a point in his life where a choice has to be made; to go the way more traveled or the way less traveled. He could be writing about a life altering decision, or something as simple as which way he wanted to go to work that day...
