Confessins, Illiad, and Gissire's Lute
The Iliad and Gissar's Lute deal with the element of of war and warriors in their cultures and thir value and place in society while Confesions delas a lot with gender realtions. Gassire's Lute, The Iliad, and Confessions , are realted by the issues of free will and predetermination. My personal beilfs of predestinatin most coley realte to the Iliad and Gassire's Lute.
In Confessions the author rejects classic mytholoy, (specifically the myth pf Persephone and Dameter) convicting it of followingthe premise that women are "helpless plot devices" bcuse women are portrayed as victims. The aouthor agrees with the Spertnak's stroy of Demeter and Persephone in which Persephone, a " young woman of poer making a choice" choses to explore teh underworld. Thsi would imply the aouthor beives that ones destiny lies in their power to make ices. The aouthor continues to realte her knowlage of Persephone and Demeter to her reationship whith her dauther. She expmais show she must give ger her daughte rteh freedom of chioce to explore the underworld so that she may retun to her destined path in life. Furthre she explaines how her motherly Dameter side "howles" as she anticipates her daughters return.
Gissires Lute is based on war and war hero's of Shouthern Africa...
