In September 1814, hundreds of foreigners began to converge on Vienna, the capital city of the Austrian Empire. Most of the foreigners where the archdukes, princes, and their wives, lings, and European loyalty. The leader of the Congress of Vienna was the Austrian foreign minister, Prince Klemens von Metternich. The foreigners who were also the representatives of all the states that had fought Napoleon had a lot of fun including fireworks, glittering balls, parties, and feasts. The main purpose of being in Vienna is to discuss final settlement after almost a decade of war and they finally did it on the June 8, 1815. The peace arrangement of 1815 contained the liberals and the nationalist forces unleashed by the French Revolution. Metternich and his kind were the representatives of the ideology known as Conservatism.
