The Fear Inside All of Us
Imagine, it's dark, and you're all alone, your hands are sweating, and the hair on the back of your neck is standing up as you look around anxiously; these are signs of fear, and everyone has had them at one time or another. Fear is an emotion that has caused America to become one of the most violent places to live. Merriam Webster defines fear as an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger. To find a solution to any problem, you have to understand it. I believe fear is something that no one wants to deal with no matter what the circumstances. If people could face their fears and beat them, the world would become a nicer place. In order for people to overcome their fears, they must understand them. In the next several paragraphs I will define the three most common types of fears and ways to overcome them. So sit back and prepare to overcome the fears of flying, heights, and being enclosed in small spaces.
