Napoleon Bonaparte was a French man who was born on Aug. 15, 1769, in Ajaccio, on the island of Corsica in the Mediterranean Sea. He died in 1821. His life was very complicated and hard to follow, although his life was confusing many historians, and the public, like to read books about him and study his life.
Napoleon is probably the most well known for his role in the French revolution. Although he did do other things the revolution took up a great amount of his life.
Napoleon was the fourth child and second son of Carlo and Letizia Ramolino Buonaparte, which was later given the French spelling Bonaparte. Napoleons parent also had 9 other boys whose names were Joseph, Lucien, Jerome, Pauline, Caroline, Julie, Shortens, Catarine and Eugene..
At the age of 9, Napoleon entered a French military school at Brienne-le-Chateau, a town in France near Troyes, where Napoleon was a genius in mathematics.
