Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was an act to express certain individual's opinion on taxation. Like most colonies, American colonies did not like paying taxes. Just like many people in this day and time, people will look for any reason not to pay their taxes. Think of the Boston Tea Party as not so much a "party" or "celebration, but see the Boston Tea Party as a "protest" against taxation on tea.
The Boston Tea Party took place during the 1700s. There are three main events that lead up to the Boston Tea Party. The three main events are: Great Britain tried to enforce a tax on tea; Colonists refused to drink British tea; and the Government tried to force the colonists to accept the Tea Act. After the French and Indian war, Britain was lacking money and was on the road to bankruptcy.
