Report for the Australia Government. A research is done by the OECD on the percentage of tertiary qualification awarded to female in 2001, by type of tertiary education and by subject category. Australia had put a large fund into education in this pass few year and are equally divided between male and female. This report is to compare the participation rate of Australian woman and other developed country in various types of degree and fields of study. This report also shows intensive information and discussion on the participation of woman in various fields and degree in all 30 OECD countries. In Australia female are equally competitive and participation rate are higher then the overall average of OECD country female that are awarded a tertiary education. Base on Chart 1 , Tertiary type-A (first degree), Tertiary type-A (second degree) and Advanced search degree the participation of woman are 41%, 54% and 57% which are higher then the OECD overall mean which are only 38% , 51% and 55% respectively. These shows that female in Australia are highly competitive in various fields and contribute almost more the half of the education system. Research on female participant rate in advanced research study, result: (Presented in Chart 2) United States =45 % United Kingdom =40 % Italy =51 % Australia = 41% Base on the research, Australian female are going towards the high technology trend where those highly developed country like United States, United Kingdom and Italy have high participation in the advanced research degree where Australian woman are attuned with those highly developed country.
