I am writing this essay with the specific purpose to persuade my audience to believe that the United States should have a health care insurance program, which would eliminate private health insurance. In the United States the costs of health care are being shift from the government to individuals. As professor Allen Jedlicka of UNI states, “The United States is one of the only first world countries that does not have a national health care plan”. The United States needs a national health care insurance program because the development of private health care insurance has lead to a deficiency in proper health care for many Americans.

One of the most controversial topics that plagues our system is the need for social security and the response to it by the two major health maintenance organizations in form of Medicaid and Medicare. ... Any person who reaches the age of retirement, among other things, would like to know whether his or her golden age is secure and free of social misadventures, due to the lack of insurance, coverage, or financial savings.
