My religion is My Ethnicity
I was brought up in a family that believes deeply in religion. Our entire family are Roman Catholics and partake of their doctrine and teachings. Most members of this religion are mainly defined by race and culture. Our family vigorously followed their teachings, which have been passed along through generations of our family tree.
Attending Sunday morning mass at eight o'clock was a ritual and the most exciting part was dressing up to attend. Every Sunday my mom would wake me up early in the morning to prepare me for church attendance and almost every week, I would wear a new dress. Most of the dressed were brought in my favorite color, blue. In preparation, my mom would comb my hair in four ponytails, wrap in bright blue bubbles to match the dress I had chosen, and at the end of each ponytail, place bright clips to coordinate. If I was good whilst she combed my hair, she would spray her favorite perfume on me. This was exciting...
