The definition of a communication disorder is the impairment in the ability to receive, send, process and comprehend concepts of verbal, non-verbal, and graphic symbol systems. Language disorders are a form of communication disorders. Thousands of people suffer from language disorders in the united states alone. A person with a language disorder faces a number of challenges that are not normally encountered by people who do not suffer from these disorders. There are challenges in every social setting. These settings can vary from the classroom to dealing with strangers. Not only do these disorders affect children, but adults as well. Overall, people with language disorders face many challenges throughout their daily routines.
Some of the challenges that a language impaired person might face begin with waking up in the morning. Most of us wake up to the radio or alarm clock, but if a person is hearing impaired, they might have to find another way of waking up in the morning...
