Cloning Article
While reading the article, Reproductive cloning is wrong by, Bill Tammeus, he makes it quiet clear that he is strongly against cloning of any nature. Tammeus points out that "we are trying to be someone's 'lord.'" He further says that in a sense we are all trying to play god, to create a reproduction of ourselves. One of his strongest arguments is that if we do proceed with cloning then the let down of this creation not being exactly what the intentions were will be more significant than imaginable. Furthermore, not only will the clone itself be disappointed and blameful towards its creator, the actual creator will have resentment and disappointment toward the clone. Personally I agree with Tammeus, due to the fact that he states that his opinion on the stem cell research is open, but for any other reasons it is absurd. Tammeus has strong points using The Will of God Theory, Utilitarianism, and the Natural Law Theory.
The Will of God Theory understands that human nature is created by God. Cloning someone would take away the creation itself. This creation is made by two people; there are no definite assumptions on what the child will look like, act like, or how there life wills ultimalty turn out...
