Any conversation about black history is incomplete without the mention of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcom X. They were both important figures in the civil rights movement and had their own ideas about how to resolve their issue. The tactics they used were different, but delivered the same vital message: They wanted egual rights and wouldn't settle for anything less.
Both grandfather and father of Martin Luther King Jr were pastors. He was raised under the teachings of the Lutheran Church. Dr. King graduated high school at the age of 15 and exeeded to college where he obtained a doctrate to become a co-pastor of his father's church. On the other hand Malcom X's father was a strong believer in the teachings of Marcus Garvey and raised his son to follow these same teachings. His father was killed by whites who did not want him to continue spreading these teachings, to his son and others...
