The African Perspectives on Colonialism by A. Adu Boahen was based on the how Africa was industrialized and modernizes by World War I and World War II. The objective of this book was to describe how European powers took over and rob Africa of its riches and wealth for there own uses and wealth. The Boahen book also explains both sides of the story, it tells what the Europeans did and how they conquer Africa and it also explains how the Africans fought back and won after a long struggle. The book also covers the matter of colonialism that the Europeans try to take over Africa.
The author A. Adu Boahen explains in his book what the Europeans did to conquer, industrialize, and modernize Africa for there own needs and get raw materials to supply there own factories in Europe. The Europeans realize that labor was expensive in Europe so the move there industries to Africa where it was cheaper and easier to produce but before they came to industrial, they had to be welcome or they had to take it by force. In Africa the economic conditions there were not as wealthy as other countries at the time because Africa had land that was not touch by humans and when the Europeans came they made the Africans move more inland. After the Africans started to move inland the Europeans followed them in, to learn more of the raw materials that were in Africa...
