I think that capitol punishment should remain a part of our justice system. I think that people should pay the price for the crimes they commit. I think that the deatlth penalty is the proper punishment for convicted murderers. If they take the law into their hands and commit a murder, they deserve to die in my opinion. Eventhough the death penalty continues to be a weak deterent of murder, I think it is the only punishment that comes close to giving justice to the family of the murdered. I think the fact that innocent people are being killed due to the fact that we have the death penalty isn't a very good argument that we should do away with capitol punishment. That is a fault in our court system not the punishment itself. I leave the decision that a murderer is convicted rightfully up to the courts and judges in our country. If an innocent person is put to death that is not the fault of the people that want the death penalty to remain in place, that is the fault of the jury and judges that have declared the murderer guilty when in fact he is innocent. I think that every court decision has some chance of being wrong...
