Butterfly
1. As a naturalist, how do you see caterpillars?
I see caterpillars in a way not like the birds see them, caterpillars have distance, background, and moving patterns of light that help it to stay hidden from predators. Mimicry and camouflage is two of the most important things that help caterpillars live. Caterpillars will do almost anything to stay away from its predator, such as jumping off a leaf and hoping for a soft landing. Caterpillars may also enlarge in size to scare away there predators because of their enormous size. A caterpillar is a beautiful insect that becomes even more magnificent when it evolves into a butterfly so elegant and colorful.
