Same sex Marriages should be Illegal

The Oxford Dictionary states, "Marriage is the legal union of a man and a woman for cohabitation and often procreation." What is acceptable in Canadian society today is not, necessarily, acceptable in many of the cultures that make up Canada. Two examples of this are, Same-sex marriages, and the use of human cloning so that homosexual couples can have children. Same-sex marriages should be illegal. There are three reasons for this. If homosexual people love each other, they do not need a license to prove it. Same-sex couples, often, decide to adopt children, but it is necessary for a child to have both a male and a female parent. We need to protect some traditions, and remember that homosexuals are not the only people who are denied the right to marry. As well, those involved in homosexual marriages may very well experience discrimination and harassment. Therefore, prohibiting same-sex marriages would, perhaps, prevent this from happening...
