A Short Speech
That is the short title, but the long title is: A Short Speech About Being Short. And now to get to the point shortly, here I have a top five list to the advantages of being short. Not top ten, because five foot is the maximum for short people.
Number 1) When my father was in little league baseball, he was lead off batter due to his height. Since he was so short, and most of the pitchers could not find his strike zone, he was usually guaranteed a walk. This meant that he was the person who was most on base out of all the players, and this was advantage for him.
Number 2) The expression "keep it short and sweet" is common, but have you ever heard anyone say, "keep it tall and sweet" or "long and sweet"? The shorter something is, the more concise it is, and the more concise it is, the better it is. So, if it's short it will be sweet and perfect; hence, the saying "keep it short and sweet", you wouldn't want to drone on about something for ages, going round and round in circles, and not getting to a point because you didn't keep it short and made it long instead. Something short will not be painful, long will be dull and painful...
