Introduction I’ve written this speech to inform you of the position of the National Security Advisor to the President. I believe the knowledge that I’m going to impart to you will help you understand the type of person that usually fills the position. I hope to tell you of when and why the position was created and who has filled that position for the past 16 years. Finally, I will inform you to the major crisis that the National Security Advisors faced. Body of Speech I. The Post of National Security Advisor A. The National Security Act of 1947 created the National Security Council. B. The Revision of the NSA in 1949 placed the National Security Council under the Executive branch of the President. C.
