English is a global language. In fact, 750 millions of people in the world speak English and half of them speak English as their mother tongue (McCrum, 1987). In addition, English is taught as a second language in many non English spoken countries. English language was born in Britain and has been changed over as a result of historic factors such as Norman Conquest in 1066 and the Viking conquests. The history of English is divided into three periods; Old English, Middle English and Modern English. ... English is the same language family with German and Dutch. English is transcribed in 27alphabets (A to Z) which contains capital letters such as “ABC” and small letters such as “abc”. Because English has rich vocabulary there are many words expressing the same or similar meaning in different register. Basic word order of English is S (subject) + V (verb) + O (object), and the phonetic form of English is consisted of 24 consonants and 20 vowels (Koenraad, 1996).
