One night, around 4 a.m. sometime during winter of 1995, I was sitting on the floor, in a multi colored lit hallway connecting two separate dance floors at a rave party in a club called the Shelter on the west side of Manhattan. With a lollipop in hand and a good friend to my side, I proceeded to stare at the candy, released of all the properties involved in common sense thought. The resultboth my friend and I witnessed the lollipop levitate an inch off my open palm and twirl around for about 5 seconds before our very eyes until finally dancing to a dead stop on the floor between us. I was suddenly able to see the very fabric of energy that underlies all matter as the walls around me were vibrating with energy. The feeling that followed was one of intense wholeness and connectedness to the music, people, and building that surrounded me...
