Mentally handicapped, retarded, slow-learner James Robert Kennedy, more formerly known as Radio, was this type of person. This movie was about Radio getting accepted into a regular high school. He goes through many struggles throughout the movie to try to be a normal teenage boy. The setting, character development, and plot of the movie, Radio, help us get inside Radio's head and see what it feels like to be in his position.
The setting of the movie helped add to the effect of what it really was like for Radio. Radio took place in Anderson, South Carolina.
