To introduce the discussion concerning the sexual aspects on the play and to analyse Macbeth, its main character, all the way through this point of view it is important to understand how Harold Bloom portrays this issue through the multiple facades given to this dazzling and curious human feature. And, it is important to consider, as well, that through the manipulation of this aspect, William Shakespeare gives us a hint of his own sight of human complexity.
Having a personal reading on Macbeth is another requisite to a better understanding of the whole topic as well. Let’s say that, this personal reading comes quite easy, mainly because the character reaches a very strong point of humanity through its problematization that often makes “our identity with him [is] involuntary but inescapable.”
Another important aspect in relation to Bloom’s notes on the play is that he builts a complete psychological approach within lots of singular facets related to Macbeth himself and within the kind of relationship he carries on with his wife and with power, too.
