Love Hate and Indifference

Living in a world where relentless competition is prerequisite to survival, our only alleviations are the emotions that we experience each day. But are these alleviations actually beneficial, or are they just obstacles to success? The two most prominent feelings, love and hate, bring both joy and pain to our lives. These feelings are on opposite ends of the spectrum; yet they are intertwined with one another. Both are triggered by one thingpassion. Because this passion causes hindrance in the process of fulfilling our ambitions, indifference seems to be the solution to becoming successful. However, although apathy may strengthen us, we are left with the question: should we give in to human nature, letting our feelings take over, or should we go against the way we were naturally born into this world and rely on reason rather than impulse?
As an old saying goes, "Only the week is governed by his emotions." As humans, we are foolish enough to allow our feelings take over our rationality, undermining our strength. In order to be successful, we must suppress our emotions, because they only act as impediments on the path to success...
