Duties and Responsibilities
Airline pilots take all resposibilities of everyone aboard the aircraft. But responsibilites begin way befor the take-off.
You must have one of the following four backgrounds to be employed as an airliner captin: passenger services, freight services and business aviation(general aviation). As you get higher you need private aircraft, flying schools and companies transporting oil and gas workers to offshore rigs and is the biggest secter worldwide.
Figuring out a flight plan-which route you will be taking, what height the aircraft will be flowen, etc.
Getting information aboutthe route, weather, passengers, and aircraft.
Watching over or supervising the loading and fuelling of the aircraft.
Communicating with air traffic control piror to take off and landing and during flight.
Reacting proptly to enviromental changes and emergincies.
Updating the aircraft logbook at the end of the flight and/o writting a report at the end of the flight noting any incidents or problems with the aircraft...
