"Float like a butterfly, Sting like a bee!" the second a person hears this their mind automatically thinks of one person, that person is the great Muhammad Ali. Muhammad Ali was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. His boxing career began at the age of 12, Muhammad or Cassius as he was known at the time went with a friend to the local carnival with his new red and white Schwin bicycle, later that day he found out that someone had stolen his bike, extremely angry he sought out the nearest police officer to report the theft. When Cassius found an officer he told him that his bike had been stolen and that he was going to "whup" whoever took his bike, that officer happened to be Joe Martin a boxing trainer at one of the local gyms.
Muhammad Ali is perhaps the most talented boxer to ever step in the ring. Beginning the sport at the age of 12, Muhammad never held a job in his life dedicating his life to training every day after school. All this hard work paid off, Ali won two National AAU titles (Howard). Those were Ali's first two championships but they were certainly not his last. Winning six Kentucky Golden Gloves and two National Golden Gloves all before he was 18 (Howard)...
