Introduction
Black holes are the final step of life for stars that are about 50 times the size of the sun. If the star is large enough it undergoes a supernova explosion. The supernova explosion may leave behind a burnt out stellar remain. If there are no opposing gravitational forces, the stellar remain will collapse into itself creating a black hole. Black holes then shrink until they disappear into themselves. This means that the bigger the black hole, the younger it is. How do we know that black holes exist? Because of the way they affect objects around them.
Black holes aren't as the movies depict them. If our sun where to turn into a black hole the earth will still orbit it with out being sucked in...
