Let’s start off from the beginning of “Catcher In The Rye” and compare a fabricated character created by a middle aged man that was obviously having a mid-life crisis and trying to rekindle his inner child by writing a depressing book to a modern day, main stream, stereotypical teenager like me. ... Ironically enough though, this just further fuels the accusations that today’s teenagers closely resemble that of a fictitious character from a book written in the 50s by a man that probably can’t even remember what it’s like to be a teenager while he was writing “Catcher In The Rye”.
