Brazil a South American Country
Brazil is the largest country in Latin America in both population and landmass, bordering every country in South America except Chile and Ecuador. Also it is the Eastern most part of South America that borders the Atlantic Ocean. It covers approximately 3.3 million square miles or 47.3 percent of the continent's total territory, Brazil is the fifth largest country in the world, only slightly smaller than the size of the continental United States. The Capital of Brazil is Brasilia in the Federal District that was entirely planned before being founded on April 21, 1960. It is a monumental showplace of ultra-modern 21st century architecture. Its 2 major cities are, Sao Paulo and Rio de Janiero that are among the largest in world. The major ethnic groups of Brazil consist of: 55% Caucasian (including Portuguese, Italian, and other European), 38% mixed, 6% African, and 1% other (includes Japanese, Arab, Amerindian). The official language that is spoken is Portuguese, which Brazil is the only Latin American country that speaks that language, but they also speak Spanish, English, and French...
