Good evening family, friends, teachers, and grads. We would like to thank you for joining our graduation of Carson Graham’s class of 2004. We are all very proud to be graduating from this school, where its unique mixture of high achievements in academics, Fine Arts, Athletics, Applied Skills, and Student Empowerment bring the student body of nearly 1300 together. What makes Carson Graham more unique than others is its richness in diversity, such as multiculturalism. You see before you a live example. 10 years ago, my family stepped into a new country full of hopes and dreams, and it feels like a dream that I am standing in front of all of you tonight to represent Carson’s graduating class of 2004, that is also of different race, and creed. Previously mentioned achievements of Carson would not have been possible without its amazing teachers and staff. At the end of every year, teachers bid farewell to its graduating class every year, but teachers remain behind to welcome the new faces that will soon be where we are today. The teachers of Carson do their best to help us accomplish our dreams and hopes, no matter how extravagant or humble they may be. It is the music teachers who organize concerts for parents to enjoy; it is the athletics teachers who hold extra practices through rain or shine. It is the arts teachers, language teachers, and career planning teachers, such as for chef-training, hairstyling, carpentry, and automotives, who pass on the training needed to become successful in a trade one chooses. Last but not least it is the Science, English, Socials, and Math teachers who give us the knowledge that we need to successfully pursue our post-secondary education.
