cxvvvvvvvvvzI wouldn't say that anyone is ethically bound to uphold them, but it is more of a moral choice. I personally would uphold the standards of another country, especially if I was in that country at the time. I would hope that anyone coming here or working with someone from this country would try to uphold our standards as I would always try to work to theirs, not only is it a good business move in general, it is also a matter of both courtesy and respect towards others
Week Four is a very important one. This week we'll be looking more closely at decision making in the workplace, and specifically at how critical thinking supports how we manage the consequences of our decisions.
We talked about fallacies in the classroom, but this is so important that I'm going to add a bit more to the topic here. In addition, we'll think a bit about problem-solving, and techniques for analyzing and solving problems in our daily lives.
The power of persuasion
Your text introduces the concept of fallacies in Section Three, and goes into a fair amount of detail on the different types of fallacious arguments. While I personally find the topic fascinating, some students have trouble understanding why we need to memorize the extensive lists of argument types. After all, just how many times is someone going to ask you to identify "Post Hoc Ergo Propter Hoc"?
The answer is, probably never...
