  Amory Lovins has many theories on Energy Conservation dealing with cars. Reducing the amount of gas we use by getting better fuel efficient cars would do a lot to help clean up the air, slow global warming, and reduce dependence on the Middle East, but oil is still messy and limited. It would be better to run cars on hydrogen. He also has theories to try and have cheaper more efficient energy in our homes, like Nuclear Fission and Solar Power. Lovins theories are not used in present day society, but why?
  Lovins thinks it would be more efficient and help our environment to run our cars off of hydrogen and fuel cells. You can make hydrogen two ways, from either water or natural gas (methane). With each of these you split the hydrogen from the rest of the atom. For example in H2O, you get the hydrogen from splitting off the O. The energy to do this can come from wind or solar generators...
