Morality is an unusual word that is seldom used by itself and more commonly heard is conversations as " Christian morality" or "Nazi morality." Morality can be used over a very broad range of definitions. We can say that morality is the code of behavior of a certain society or group, the set of principles that divides right from wrong, or the code of conduct that is exemplified by all rational beings. Often, morality is distinguished from etiquette, law, and religion, all of which provide codes of conduct put forward by a society. The Random House Webster's dictionary defines morality as "conformity to the rules of right conduct." Another definition from the dictionary is "moral quality or character." "Virtue in sexual matters" is another explanation of the word. Also, morality can be "a doctrine or system of morals." "Moral instruction" is an explanation for morality as well.
