The case titled ‘A Question of Ethics’ from the National Business Employment Weekly, 1987, raises several issues related to ethics in management. Firstly the management of the firm is behaving immorally by issuing numerous cheques in order to convince building inspectors to approve the firm’s projects. Secondly, the use of substandard materials in the construction of their projects thus risking the firm’s customers safety, and thirdly, by the manager asking Roberta to inflate other items’ costs in order to cover the cheques also raises an ethical issue. In reaction to this issue, Roberta could act in several different ways.
