Canada maturing after WW1

The First World War was an experience that Canada needed in order to mature as a nation. During and after the war there was a lot of change in Canada, socially, politically, economically, and the Defense of Canada.
In Canada around the time of the First World War, women weren't even considered people. They were considered to just be objects that could not work out side of the house. During the war lots of the men had to leave to go fight, while the women were home and they had to work in factories, and go out and work. At this time is would have been a huge step for them, even if it was only for the time of the war. While the woman were out working, there was no one to stay home and talk care of the children, so this would have been the start of daycares. Also Canada has such a small population at this time, all the deaths an injuries from fighting in the war would have affected the whole country. Another thing that would have social affected Canada was when conscription took place, the people that didn't go fight would have been looked down upon. After the war the birthrate went up and war brides would have been brought back from Europe...
