Pablo Neruda, the pen name of Neftali Ricardo Reyes y Basualto. Pablo
was just a normal person looking for someway to express himself. He wasn't
truly complete, and then he found he could express himself by writing poetry.
Writing poetry gave Pablo a face to speak from, made him whole. Writing poetry
became the famous outlet Pablo uses to express his creativity.
This poem by Pablo Neruda seems to show a lot of the images Pablo was
seeing at and after the time writing poetry introduced itself to him. At the start of
the poem I can feel that something is already in progress, that I've arrived
in the middle of something. As I read on I can tell poetry has come to someone,
and the only way I can see how it got to this person is that it arrived in some
supernatural form and possessed this person. I felt almost sad because all
I could picture for a good part of the poem was a person standing in the middle of
the street. This person looked really lonely to me, and it was like this person was
searching for something in the stars...
