The United Nations was created to promote world peace and cooperation. Although The United Nations has discussed many issues many of them are no better off today then they were over fifty years ago. It's like the old adage, one step forward, and two steps back. The problem with the United Nations is that it has tried to solve all the worlds problems, which is too much for it to handle, with it's limited finances and manpower. The United Nations would increase the amount of respect it receives from the world if it made more progress on fewer things. They need to focus on what will bring the greatest good to the greatest numbers in the smallest amount of time.
The Arab Republic of Egypt believes that the United Nations should focus on three areas. First, the overwhelming majority of the six billion people in the world are living in a state of poverty. They are ill-fed, poorly clothed, lack proper medical care, drink unsafe water, and live in squalor.
