MOMENT OF KAIROS
That night I saw stars. I looked for the moon but it was nowhere to be seen in this body of awesomeness. All that I could see were billions of stars lighting up the heavens. It was one of the most beautiful things my eyes have ever seen. No lights of the city, no buildings or land to see, and no bustling chatter of people to ruin this moment, and yes it was a moment. As I looked down at the sleeping ocean being roused by our unwelcome presence, I watched with a wonderment of a child as phosphorescent algae danced with the heavens, mimicking its every progress. All there was to see was the horizon of the ocean in all directions, and the endless sky blazing above me. Fireworks appropriately made by God's hand on this night of Independence Day.
What I first thought were clouds high in the sky transformed right in front of my eyes into clusters of infinite stars. It wasn't chilly air like in Japan during winter, or humid and warm air like in Guam...
