Jesus temptations in the desert it probably one of the most interesting story's in the entire bible. Satan himself tempts the Son of God, the Christ, and the one who is the equivalent of all that is good and true.
In the story Jesus is baptized and it is reveled to him that he is the Son of God. The story is this:
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward he was hungry. So when the tempter came to him, he said, "If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread."
But Jesus answered and said, "It is written, people do not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God."
Then the devil took Jesus up to the holy city and set him on a pinnacle of the temple. And he said, "If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down because it is written, God shall send angels to protect you -- to lift you up with their own hands so you will never so much as dash your foot against a stone.
