What is a learning style? I have taken several assessments this week that has given an idea of how I learn. A learning style is how I take information and use it. I will organize information, arrange it in charts and graphs, study with others in order to grasp it, teach it to others, or put it into rhythm and rhyme. These assessments are a key to quality education, work, and life experiences.
First, I examined "Pathways to Learning" where I discovered my learning styles are musical, intrapersonal, and interpersonal. I had not noticed the musical style of learning being implemented in my education, and work environment. I understand why my results leaned toward the musical style of learning, after reviewing the traits of a musical learner. For example, I put terms and memory work to a rhythm and rhyme in order to process the information easier.
