Psychological Testing on Employment Applications
Since the early 1980s, psychological testing has become a determining factor for hiring within large corporations and some smaller businesses. The test is utilized because most companies believe that psychological testing improves their selection process. It is their belief that more qualified candidates are identified through the testing procedure. Although there has been high praise for this test, there are major disadvantages.
Our team will demonstrate the negative affect of psychological testing from the legal, medical, and personal aspect. We will also discuss the disadvantage of computer based psychological testing.
The topic is important to our group because it shows relevance to our current jobs. No matter how you look at it, every job that our group has now and has had in the past is or was subject to psychological testing.
