When Harry met Sally
In the movie, when “Harry met Sally”, the relationships that were outlined showed Knapp’s Stages very thoroughly. The relationships of all the characters involved showed very realistic insight into interpersonal relationships and the stages involved. Knapp’s Stages is a method used to describe the stages that relationships go through from beginning to, unfortunately in some cases, the end. ...
During the escalation period of the relationships shown there was a pre-interaction of when Harry met Sally; he first outwardly spoke that he was attracted to her in a restaurant as they journeyed to New York. Sally did not seem to be as taken by him. ... Harry also continued to say that they could never be friends, as their attraction for each other would not allow so. When they arrived in New York they both went their separate ways until a chance meeting in an airport 5 years later. ... They continued with the interaction stage of their relationship by discussing what they were doing now, reminiscing about their drive to New York, and about Harry getting married.
