Chinese Philosophy Essay
"When you have faults, do not fear to abandon them."
The philosophy of Confucius and many others was an enormous part of the Warring States period. The Warring States period began in China in 403, and lasted until 221. Three major philosophies developed during this time. These philosophies consist of Confucianism, Taoism, and Legalism. Although these three philosophies had very different ideas on crime and punishment, I believe that the intolerance and hard punishments of Legalism were best. Confucius was the founding person of Confucianism. His ideas emerged when he began to edit the best of the ancient Chinese writings.
