Lincoln Mendoza is a very interesting character that finds himself involved in another different culture and country. He is both outgoing and hardworking which are two factors that drive the story to interesting points. I believe that Lincoln and I both relate in many ways. We are different but the fact that he is faced with a new culture and country connects him to my world and experiences. I think that Lincoln and I relate because we have same cultural backgrounds and the same urge to experience the world. I also think that we both are different because Lincoln doesn't have a timid personality, in contrast with my personality which is shy.
Lincoln and I both relate in many ways. First of all, he and I are both teenagers that are just beginning to experience the world, and are having a hard time adjusting to the cultural changes that have been made in such short periods of time. In Lincoln's situation, he has just been introduced to the Japanese culture, which he will have to experience for a few weeks. In my situation, I was introduced to the American culture and have been experiencing it for the past nine years...
